The Super Bowl - the good, the bad, and the ugly - James

We in the Christian community often struggle with finding much good in secular media. So when something good does happen I think we need to express appreciation. I tuned in to ESPN radio last night just to hear what they were saying about the aftermath of the Super Bowl. While listening I was impressed to hear one of their commentators expressing his frustration with the commercials aired during one of this countries biggest sporting events. He commented especially on the violence of the programs that were being promoted at a time when families were just trying to watch a good football game. I don't watch a lot of television. In fact, the Super Bowl was the first time in recent memory that I've even turned the thing on. While the game lived up to expectations, I can agree with this commentator that the commercials were a definate dissapointment. But it's nice to see that even secular commentators are starting to realize that enough is enough and change is needed.
